Our Pastor
Rev. Lynn Lovejoy is pastor and founder of Revelation Word Ministries. “Pastor Lynn” as she is affectionately called is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She is the eldest of two daughters for Lawrence and Marion Lovejoy. She was raised in the Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church where her families roots span several generations. As an active member in church Pastor Lynn unknowingly answered the call to ministry, and thus stepped into her destiny.
Pastor Lynn graduated from Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama, and upon graduation in 1987, joined the United States CoastGuard. She has honorably served eight years of active duty, and fourteen years of reserve duty. Following active duty, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University, in Florida, and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree
in Business Administration. Additionally she had been employed full time with the Federal Government for fourteen years, the last year of which have been for the Department of the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia.
Pastor Lynn is a highly motivated, forward thinking leader whom by example continuously encourages, motivates, and teaches a growing congregation to excel to the next level of maturity. She considers herself a soldier for Christ Jesus. She is passionate about bringing salvation to the lost, but also making disciples for Christ by rooting people in the Word of God, and teaching them of their rights and privileges as God’s children. She encourages every member to seek God for themselves, "Get a revelation of God for yourself"...so that God will reveal tohis people his will & his purpose for their lives.
God has raised her up and set her apart for such a time as this. One of the most repeated descriptions of this anointed woman of God is that "She's for real" Pastor Lynn is known for preaching a message that meets people where they are, and this preaching sets her apart;"Come, kick your shoes off, get what you need, get freed...All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.. most are just too proud
to admit it...Christ didn’t come to judge you, He came to set you free."
Our Belief
Here at Revelation Word Ministries we base all of our beliefs and teachings on one primary principle The Bible is the Revealed Will of God. There is one God, who is the creator of all things, and is comprised of three co-equal persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Man, whom God created in His image, fell into sin through willful disobedience, resulting in spiritual separation from God. Man's only hope of redemption and restoration of his relationship with God is belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation is achieved by trusting in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness, not by performing good deeds. However, human works are an outward evidence of one's salvation.
All believers should earnestly seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which will equip them for personal growth and grant them spiritual gifts to use in service to the church. Jesus Christ will one day return to bring believers home to Heaven and will reign with them over the Earth for 1,000 years. Those who have not accepted Christ as Savior will suffer eternal separation from God. After Christ's millennial reign, there will be a new Heaven and Earth where we will eternally live with Him.
Our Mission
Our mission is to preach and teach the uncompromised Word of God. We train and prepare our members to be rooted & grounded in the Word of God. In an ever changing world there is only one hope and that is in our Lord Jesus Christ
